How much do lessons cost?

Group Lessons: $50.00
Private Lessons: $75.00
10 Lesson Special: $475.00 Saves $25.00!

How old do you have to be?

For the safety of the rider, only youth over the age of 5 years old can be enrolled in our lesson programs. Adult riders of any age can ride at RRA

Do you have a weight requirement for riders?

For the safety of our horses we have an upper weight limit of 225lbs

Do I need my own horse?

No, you do not need your own horse. We have 15 well trained school horses who know their jobs at every level. Our wonderful Schoolmasters can start your children safely or take you on your own riding journey. Several are Western Dressage World Champions! We also have horses that jump basic low courses, work the Working Equitation obstacles, and even Warmblood Dressage horses.

Can I haul my own horse to RRA for lessons?

Yes you can haul your own horse to RRA. We have plenty of trailer parking

Do you offer western lessons or English lessons?

We offer BOTH English AND Western lessons, Dressage and Jumping too. We do not offer barrel racing, gaming, or cow related sports.

What kind of safety equipment to you require??

ALL riders are required to wear well fitting ASTM certified riding helmets, long pants, and boots with a smooth, hard sole and 1/2" heel. There are no exceptions to this rule

Do I need to have my own saddle and bridle?

No, you do not need your own tack. Our school tack includes saddles, saddle pads, bridles with bits and reins, breast collars, and all equipment you need

What days are lessons available?

We teach lessons Tuesday thru Saturday, closed Sunday and Monday

What time are lessons?

We start the lesson day with appointments as early as 9:00am. We schedule lessons for youth after 3:00pm to accommodate school dismissal. Home school students may schedule throughout the day. We offer lessons in the evening after 5:00pm for adults who work.

Do I need to make an appointment for lessons?

Yes, we do require lessons to be scheduled by appointment

What other programs and activities can we participate in at RRA?

EDUCATION SESSIONS are offered monthly free of charge.
SUMMER CAMPS for young riders between 8 and 13 years.
HORSE SHOW TEAM attends shows both at home and away, even to World Championships each year.
VIRTUAL SHOW SYSTEM is utilized extensively too.
GROUND LESSON program that focuses on teaching proper ground skills, halter showing and in-hand work.
OUTSIDE CLINICIANS are featured twice yearly.
WORK EXCHANGE program for riders 16 and up
SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM for students that benefit from financial assistance
HORSE BOARDING for riders in our programs
HORSE LEASES by arrangement

How do I pay for my lessons?

We accept CC, cash and checks at the farm OR pay online with PayPal with an added convenience fee
