Faarasim

Faarasim ... Faara is a Holsteiner mare by the imported stallion Constitution. Her dam was an Anglo Arabian mare (Karakal Cherub) that was the first non TB mare accepted into the Holsteiner studbook here in the US. Faara was broke to ride as a three year old, but spent most of her life as a broodmare producing 6 registered foals both in the Holsteiner studbook as well as the American Warmblood Association studbook. Faara had epiphycitis in both front knees as a foal so her front legs did not develop properly. Her children did not contract this disease so her real value was as a producer. Faara has the most gentle disposition so she has been asked to do some interesting things here at RRA. In 2009, Faara's help was enlisted by Cameron who wanted to take his date to the prom on horseback on a white horse. With only 1 hour of rehearsal, she learned to be ridden "a la grupa", carrying the lady aside on her rump! The entrance was beautiful and the stroll up the lane to the event site, picturesque. This is what memories are made of!

The horses at RRA make everyone smile!
